Does your day-to-day life involve caring for others? Do you have family or friends whose work and sacrifice often goes unseen?
On Wednesday, December 14th at 7pm, Maplewood Reformed Church will host a “Christmas for Caregivers” service. This will be a special Advent service ministering to caregivers in the Holland community—nursing home and hospice workers, those caring for elderly or ill family members, parents of children with chronic illness or special needs, and anyone whose day-to-day work involves caring for dependents who rely upon them for their wellbeing and safety.
During this short but meaningful service of readings, prayer, and music, we will be looking in particular at the story of Joseph and his mostly invisible but significant God-given role. Rev. Kate Meyers from Holland Hospice will be sharing a short message. We hope attendees will walk away feeling honored, seen, encouraged, and loved during this holiday season.
